aye, homeowners have been taking advantage of very low interest rates-along with not traveling-to renovate their homes, or sell their existing home to buy a new more expensive home.
Except that lumber and dry wall prices have gone thru the roof, making everything cost more and take longer.
I have seen existing homes in my area selling in less than a month after being listed. The million$$+ homes are selling even faster.
And existing home prices are rising. We have discovered that the home we bought for $215,000 is now, just 3 years later, worth over $260K. We got a cold offer for $263K this morning. Crazy times
Back in 87 we were stationed in Wuerzburg, Germany. It took about a month to find and get settled in an apartment. While we were waiting we lived in a German hotel.
My wife is an Army brat, so she could handle that. What she couldn’t handle was the construction going on next door to the hotel all day, every day. And we had a six month old at the time. And it was November in Germany, so getting outside was pretty much out of the question.
Was looking for an explanation: 7 or more panels and no punch line? What’s the bath have anything to do with noise? Trying to find the hidden meaning / reason for dedicating a prime real estate Sunday strip with no tickle

Most towns have noise ordinances that limit construction from around sixam to five or six pm.

I work nights and sleep days
A few weeks ago I heard some serious hammering and looked out to see a crew of roofers working on a neighbors house
They were still banging away when I went to bed
I slept through it, can sleep through most anything

It was a difficult time. But we made it!

If it’s their relative Clarence they should tell him he has to put them up in a good Airbnb or they will call the authorities and get them shutdown.
