I get about one or two texts to someone else every few months. And in the other direction, when I text someone (which I do VERY seldom), the most usual response is “Who ARE you?”

I’ve done this once. It became a learning experience, though not deeply embarrassing. Never noticed modern tech in the household before.

Earl, I didn’t know you cared!

Please tell me Earl didn’t actually text the word “DING!”

Clyde should text him back with something like: “What did you have in mind, Honeybunch?”

A good idea in theory, Earl… but the execution leaves a bit to be desired…

I hate it when someone sends text to 85 people on their contact list. It’s dehumanizing.

Uh ohhhhhh……

I have a flip phone, and only use it for the very occasional voice call when I’m not at home. I’ve never sent a text in my life. Not even sure I’d know where to begin!

I don’t figure a guy who drives a Studebaker is a good candidate for “getting with the times”.

Texting is the most unreliable form of communication invented since smoke signals. You really never know if it was received unless there’s response, and any meaningful communication takes forever. One ten second call can communicate more than two hours of texting.

I never heard either of them call each other Sweetie Pie before! Or anything complimentary, for that matter.

I work REALLY hard to avoid this sort of thing – but with the autocorrect sort of functions sometimes I still make the mistake.

I am sure Clyde is used to Earls wrong numbers.
