Back in the days we didn’t have digital recorders… we recorded things on tape that was awkward, expensive, bulky… BUT WE LIKED IT THAT WAT!

We used to have that debate, but we now both leave the seat AND the lid down because flushing spreads all sorts of germs all over the place, and neither of us wanted that.

My wife is shorter than me and so if I go to drive the car after her, it can be a tight fit. One morning and accidentally hit my head as I was getting in and my wife turned to me and said “Sorry hon, I left the seat up.” I just looked at her for a few seconds and then she realized what she just said and we both laughed.

Care to tell your audience why you sit down without looking, is it just plain stupidity?

Both the seat and the cover should always be in the down position when not in use. #1. I looks better. #2. It slows evaporation and reduces the deposits at the water line. #3. It reduces odors. Barbarians leave the seat and the lid up. Genteel people leave them both down when not in use. Manners!

One of the most useful things my parents ever taught me was not to expect the seat to be down. I grew up totally not caring about it and I really can’t comprehend why any one would care, or why anyone would sit without looking.
