It’s an absolute joy to read these best drawn funnies, these beautifully drawn wonderful strips. Three cheers, a big thumbs up, and a big applause once again of course for the amazingly talented FoXo’s marvellous masterpiece, the picturesque pantomime called BOZO!

1) charge him for each toe. 2) You’ll never get rich by digging a ditch but you can find bait. 3) Fanning the flames but ready to put the fire out.

2) It was during a drought, the worms are hiding deep where the moist is.

Strip 1, panel 2: Shades of Smokey Stover…

Two foot problem throws out my pretty well dressed women that FOXO usually tantalized Bozo with. Perseverance Hey best worms are in China. Bozo is giving Coach “NUKE” ROCKNE speech (Forgive me Knute Rockne!)

1. Doesn’t Bozo usually have shiner’s around his eyes?

2. Bozo, the first worm farmer.

3. Bozo’s team is so poor he has to be coach and waterboy.

1. Pedicures are extra, sahib. Olive Oyl’s hat in panel 2 is to die for!

And Gent’s comments above “bear” repeating.

1) WHAT TO DO WITHOUT: During his time as a shoe shiner a fellow bare of feet sits down. What to do next?

2) OBSSESION: Bozo doesn’t stop digging till he finds his prize—-a single earthworm!

3) MOVING ABOVE HIS STATION: After a rabble-rousing call from Bozo the team goes on the field and Bozo carrying the water!

I just now noticed that the panel arrangement usually chosen by (or imposed upon?) FoXo for each daily strip follows a pattern I find interesting. Typically there are four equal sized boxes which we see on GoComics side-by-side, but which could be printed with the first two above and the last two beneath. Sometimes, as in #3 above, two panels at one end are treated as if they are a continuing panorama. Sometimes an individual panel is split horizontally and/or vertically into several smaller panels. Rarely, the left and right halves of each strip (or top and bottom, depending on how it was printed) were treated as spaces that could be divided (or not) in whatever way best served the gag being illustrated. Yet another aspect of cartooning handled masterfully by FoXo— and without readers even giving it a thought.

1 First, check to see what he’s been stepping in. Then break out the brushes.

2 Now go out and catch a whopper, Bozo.

Bozo lectures the team on the evils of knocking over water buckets. Watch it guys!

1-Never mind the two-foot problem! What about the one-hat problem in Panel 2?!

2-Bozo must really enjoy fishing!

3-Bozo gives a lecture to the team on the benefits of maintaining proper hydration.

1> No shoes, no service !

2> Just one?
