Except in a vacuum, a glass is always full, either with air or some liquid or a combination thereof. Andy will always make sure the glass is full of air as quickly as possible.
@ Linguist Today’s strip IS funny, our HERO Mr Andrew Capp’s hearing , even when sloshed is fenomina , phenomin , very good any mention of glass and full sets of his radar so he can bum a beer :o) my avatar is a spoof of a sure shot to immunize against any viral infection :o) come avete passato il vostro Sabato mio sincero amicho ? our day should be very busy but at least the contractor fixing our plumbing is ready from the actual changing of the pipes an won’t continue before Monday and we can use and flush our loos and shower again and like St Paul we have had a conversion we are dumping anything that we have saved but we will never need ,I am helping Connie by staying away from under her feet , and the Maltese Roads are safe because our car is at my younger son’s garage keep safe and a bientot pal
Be of stout heart Sid. Andy will not be bitter about a philosophical discussion about how full a glass is. But he will hop right in to make sure that there are no empty glasses around, yeast someones beer would go flat. Andy would barley take seeing such waste.
When I lived in Germany back in the 60’s and 70’s, I loved Krombacher Dark. It had a nice kick to it and a fine taste. Sometimes I miss my sinful youth. But Not For Long – NFL.
My favorite answer (I can’t remember who said it): “I don’t know if I’m an optimist or a pessimist. I always see a glass as half full of something I probably won’t like.”

Thanks for the advice, George. Better think twice, Sidney, when you’re in the same pub as Andrew.

That phrase always irks me. Full & empty are absolutes. I will agree with Imagine. It is always full, or empty in a perfect vacuum.

With Andy around, any glass of beer will inevitably be completely empty.
