My sister is directionally challenged, her children have been giving her directions ever since they were old enough to notice their surroundings and talk clearly “no mom, you should have turned the other way!”

I hate being lost and I want to get to my destination sooner rather than later. So, yes, I am that rare guy who asks for directions.
