“Hobbes Is A Mangy Flea-Ridden Furball” doesn’t make for a very good acronym. A better name would be “Hobbes Is A Totally Useless Slimeball” which would form the acronym HIATUS.

The only thing missing from this civil war is the soundtrack from Ken Burns’s series…

I always thought smelling like a baboon was one of the GOALS of little boys.

I love it! Reminds me of the 2 political parties during the past year!

H.I.A.M.F.R.F…. doesn’t have the same ring as G.R.O.S.S. or even C.A.D.! I like how desperate and immature Calvin sounds in the third panel!

My secret club is so secret it won’t even let me into the club house. I seem to have forgotten both the secret password and the secret handshake.

Just make a string of random Greek letters as well as a few other languages all randomized then call it a code. Easily done!

But it’s true – Calvin and a baboon both use their noses to smell.

Who wants an eternal war? Most sides in wars attempt to vanquish the opponent shortly.

The Henry Vilas Zoo used to have an exhibit of stump-tailed macaques (Macaca arctoides).

They have a strong acrid body odor.

Who needs girls to hate when these two can’t get along on their own?!
