Coyotes are walking around neighborhoods in California like never before, looking as comfortable being around as dogs. Could be the drought…not enough food in the wild right now.
They should rerun the strip from late November a few years back, where Wiley’s Dictionary defines a lasting impression as “What Wile E Coyote leaves on the bottom of any given canyon.” This one is really funny, too. Thanks for the chuckle. Great way to start a day.
Usually, languages are spoken first, and written down later, so why is it that spelling and pronunciation seem to have nothing to do with each other “Coyote” should rhyme with “toy boat” (try saying that ten times fast), and not “my oat tea”.
Wile E. Coyote will recover from the Acme Anvil hit. Flattened into an accordion, then springs back up. Wile E. Coyote has been smashed flat by many items and has always recovered.

Well, that sort of explains the anvil from the sky routine. Now if only that coyote had an little umbrella.
