Never seen some pants so spry/ that they even learned to fly/ cats and socks on the loose/ everything here in the news/ so enjoy your laundry now, sigh!
Now, my cats would have started from the top with: Breaking Cat News! The Woman is threatening to disassemble this week’s preferred napping spot! Local cats are alarmed at this unexpected turn of events!
Some years ago, I figured out where those sox go: Sometimes they wedge in the crevice between the laundry tub and the washer housing and wrap themselves around the tub’s drive shaft. I discovered this when I bought a new washer/dryer stack and we took out the old washer to make room for the new one. We found not only some sox, but at least one unmentionable wrapped around the drive shaft.
Up until relatively recently, I would wear a regular sock as a sheath (layer between the skin and the prosthesis) on my residual limb. You would think this would mean less crazymaking for my mother, but it didn’t because my brother and my sisters also had a bunch of odd socks in almost every load and she could never figure out why. My brother at least got smart about it and started suggesting I had confused my socks with his … which, in turn, roughly coincided with the point when she started having all of us do our own laundry.
My cats very seldom get into the laundry. To Ozzy and Inky, the most desirable warm spot in the house is the chair/couch just vacated by someone’s bottom, and they are sometimes in the seat and half asleep before the recent occupant has achieved a full standing position.
OT: Yes, I’m back, mostly recovered. Thanks to all who expressed concern and good wishes. I think I managed to find most of your comments and replies, but GoComics code did not notify me of quite a few of them. So If I didn’t “like” or reply to something you posted to me, that’s the reason.
I know it’s late and I’ll repost this tomorrow, but does anyone here follow Lawson’sHeart or Goats of Anarchy on Instagram? I see the posts occasionally but haven’t followed, and apparently something bad happened at this goat rescue during the past few days but I can’t seem to find any details. Bad enough that the lady who runs the rescue is very upset and discouraged.

Three different news stories in three panels. Lupin is on a roll!

Why do I get the feeling that Lupin claiming to be able to pep up ANYTHING might possibly, somehow, be tangentially related to Real Life?

Flying Elvis and now flying pants! Is this home safe for the boy and girl?

This just in: flying pants cause massive poofage amongst cats. More at eleven.

Lupin, sweetie, reporters are supposed to break the news, not make the news;)

I’m with Elvis on this one. You can’t really pep up laundry duty. Not even if you use Cheer.

Love the “cats unearthed in the strata “ line.

Elvis wants serious news, not sensationalism cooked up by the reporters.

Puck’s a first class napper but Goldie’s international class. She didn’t even wake up!

I hope Elvis’ status as a journalist isn’t under threat from this keen young upstart.

Who can wreck your world ‘cause he’s so wild?
Who can take a laundry day
And suddenly make it all seem hostile?
Well it’s Lupin, and you should know it
With each chance his every little movement will show it
News is all around, he wants to break it
He will fly your pants ‘til you can’t take it
He’s a happy earthquake after all

I think the Woman is displaying great plaid flannel folded shirt throwing style.

The news team have injected themselves into the story, not to say the laundry basket.

I am so thankful my cat prefers the bed pillows over freshly folded laundry. I do not like cat fur on my clothes that I did not earn.

I pep up laundry folding/putting away with some music and some dancing. Makes it go by faster and easier, although not necessarily quicker.

Today’s strip perfectly captures both Elvis’ and Lupin’s personalities. And frankly, I’d love to see some investigative reporting on all those socks.
