The entire advertising industry exists to distract us from the things that truly make us happy to the things they want us to think make us happy.

You can’t buy those things Carmen, but you can buy necessities that keep you housed and not dying slowly on the streets.

    Imagine there’s no heaven

    It’s easy if you try

    No hell below us

    Above us only sky

Imagine all the people living for today

    Imagine there’s no countries

    It isn’t hard to do

Nothing to kill or die for

    And no religion too

Imagine all the people living life in peace, you

You may say I’m a dreamer

But I’m not the only one

I hope some day you’ll join us

And the world will be as one

    Imagine no possessions

    I wonder if you can

No need for greed or hunger

    A brotherhood of man

Imagine all the people sharing all the world, you

You may say I’m a dreamer

But I’m not the only one

I hope some day you’ll join us

And the world will be as one

Welllll… no. Actually money does make you happy. Hard to be content when your kids are hungry. After a certain point, more doesn’t make you more happy. More does bring more and different problems.

Say what?… Bloomberg Opinion Today: Don’t let their reasonableness over pandemic relief measures fool you: The Republicans are still the party of No.

    When were they reasonable?

For those who say money can’t buy you happiness, just don’t know where the store is located.

PS: I also notice those who repeat that empty mantra, more often than not have plenty of money and very little hardship.

    Daddy’s money produced this pos:

GOP Rep from Florida Matt Gaetz is being investigated over allegations that he had a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old and paid her to travel with him. – New York Times

Big Head Clod Is a Monster – “In 2017, Mr. Gaetz was the only member of Congress to vote against a law that gave the federal government more power and money to fight human trafficking.”

I’ve no doubt that the pizzagate activists will be all over this, since they are motivated by a sincere concern for the welfare of children rather than support of the repug party.

Money can’t buy happiness, but it makes misery a lot more fun…

You can’t buy happiness? Although they’re generally wrong, the “greed is good” crowd would vigorously disagree…

In most cases such advertisements are like water off a duck’s back to me.
