I thought that it was the "Job Center’s " job to look for jobs for people?

To not have to work, Andy knows what HAS to work!

Just out of curiosity, is possible for an otherwise healthy individual in GB to collect unemployment for an unlimited length time?

Do we know if Andy was ever employed? I read somewhere that he was either a sign painter or a hod carrier, but these were only suggested as jobs before the strip started.

Andy seems to be content with that.

The characters have always broken the fourth wall. Reg Smythe made that popular which is why I love those beloved Golden Oldies so much.

Sadly, I got no Easter Eggs. But I do have some Cadbury Milk Tray and mint chocolate to be demolishing.

I’m not sure if anybody has noticed but it looks like Mahoney is back. His name is on the strip again.

Easter was pretty much a normal time for me. We’re not religious in any way.

It has been said that Andy is the European equivalent of Maynard G. Krebbs. The European equivalent of Gilligan (the other character played by Bob Denver) would be an accident prone fellow named Gaston Lagaffe. (No, it’s not Captain Haddock, you Bashi Bazouks!) Incidentally, there is another European cartoon character named Lucky Luke that looks a lot like Bob Denver, yet is absolutely nothing like Maynard or Gilligan.
