When I did basic training, the Army was still smarting from the embarrassment of all the GIs who became POWs because they couldn’t run fast enough to avoid capture. I kept myself motivated during our long training runs by imagining the entire Chinese army chasing me.
The guy is more interested in watching the girl. He’ll stay back. I run twice a week and enjoy the feminine pulchritude on the trails. Even the 50-year-olds look good to me now.
