Now think carefully. Where were you when you buried Uncle John with sand?

When you play in the sand for too long your face gets rubbed off.

No, honey. Those brown things aren’t seashells, just something a cat left.

Zoe tried to help her daughter build a sandcastle, but for some reason it kept sliding apart – she just couldn’t get the sand to stick together. Dammit, her degree was in Romantic poetry, not architecture! If only Frank was here. Men knew about such things.

I think this was Biden’s first bill 120 years ago when he got into the senate. LOL! Zoning, you got to love it and hate it. We all need gas stations and factories, just not next door.

It happened every time Jean Baptiste tried painting on the beach, he got suntan lotion all over his glasses.

I’m sorry, darlings, instead of building a sand castle, let’s just watch the waves for a while. Mummy is feeling a bit out of focus today.

Heck, let’s build it. It’s the closest thing to a beach house we will ever get.

Yup. At a Florida coast vacation earlier this month I was stunned by how much of the ‘public’ beach area is allotted to private businesses to put up their rows of umbrellas and sun shades for daily rental.
