The only reason those “scientists” believe the old “computer simulation” chestnut is because they’re just disembodied heads in a jar. Or they recently watched a “Matrix” marathon.
I suspect that Poncho and pals do indeed live in a computer simulation. Soooo, bulls eye scientists. Now I shall return to my job at Matrix Incorporated. Have a nice day.
S for myself,, I’ll stick with God as the creator rather than an updated computer game. Even with all we dont know, the simulation idea just doesn’t make nearly as much sense.
It’s certainly true that many great scientific discoveries were dismissed as nonsense when they were first theorized.
It’s also true that a great many theories which were originally dismissed as nonsense were later proven to be nonsense.
That’s how it works.
I don’t know whether the “computer-simulation” theory will turn out to be nonsense on not-nonsense, but I DO suspect that some things will remain inexplicable despite our best efforts to explain them. I don’t think there’s anything we aren’t MEANT to understand, but I don’t think “Can humans understand this?” is an operant criterion for factual truth. “The universe is not only queerer than we suppose, but queerer than we can suppose” (Haldane’s Law).

How about a computer simulation by mega computers making sport of lesser computers simulations?

If we are living in a Computer Simulation, the GOP must be a Virus.
