If You Are Not a Liberal When You Are Young, You Have No Heart, and If You Are Not a Conservative When Old, You Have No Brain

If you support Steve Forbes at any age, you have neither.

Flat tax = failure of the Nations.

Am I the only one who had to Google Steve Forbes to find out who or what he is?

I feel like the idea of a flat tax has gotten less popular as income inequality has increased.

Taking 25% of the highest income level leaves them with enough left over to buy a couple thousand houses. Taking 25% from the lowest doesn’t leave them enough to pay both electric and water.

My regard for J.J. just went up a few notches.

He electric personality is what did him in. His fuse was constantly blown.

Why do Republicans love the flat tax? Because the result would be a huge tax cut for the wealthy and a huge tax increase for the poor. The Republican wet dream.

Cyber-citizens? Could J.J. discover Forbes on her new computer and decide to support him?

Might be too obtuse for 2021

Steve Forbes’ flat tax was an interesting idea— “Give me and my friends a huge tax cut, while you and your friends take an enormous tax hike.” It makes you wonder why more of the masses didn’t rally to that banner.

If being Conservative in my senior years means being more cautious, if it means being more pragmatic, if it means being that I view politics and governments with a jaundiced eye, … then, by all means, I am a Conservative. If, however, it means subscribing to the absolute falsehoods and insanities purported by Faux Noise, NewsMax, Qanon etc., believing the election was stolen, being a Trumpist, embracing a culture of white privilege, prejudice, and intolerance, … then by God, consider me as youthful Liberal!

Bring back the tax rates of that great conservative President, Dwight Eisenhower.

Flat tax and zero tax law loopholes for those that have income or unearned income over $400k. Flat tax means nothing when wealthy and corporations claim zero income.

This is actually a very important story arc, one I remember from back in the 90s. Stay tuned.

I never understood how Malcolm Forbes could have produced such a dud child.

The main appeal of the flat tax is its simplicity. The main disadvantage of the flat tax is its simplicity.

I remember when Forbes ran on the idea that a successful businessman with no experience in politics was bound to be more successful than a politician, in the role of president. Forbes didn’t win, and now we know why he was wrong.

We are approaching that magical moment when Mike meets Kim.

People have been born, grown up and become parents since this came out who have no idea who Steve Forbes is.
