My cat use to do the same hing with my sisters poodles. It just took once telling them who had the claws in the house. After that its just took a “Roww” or “Hiss” from her to get them moving. For an example just google “Cat scares Bear”.

Garfield is a fat house cat. Arlene is a lean mean alley cat. Odie by instinct knows the score. You just can’t teach that.

Hasn’t Garf been known to punt Odie into the next block? That should work just as well. Maybe better.
