Synodal church – “The journey of synodality is the journey that God wants from his church in the third millennium,” the pope said Oct. 17. “A synodal church is a listening church, aware that listening is more than hearing. It is a reciprocal listening in which each one has something to learn.”

To some religion is “unchanging truth” and there is something comfortable with stability.

However, a religion that does not evolve is dead. It’s like worshiping a corpse.

Did revelation stop with John of Patmos?

    It’s not “either-or”. It’s “both-and”

Revelation routinely bombards us whenever days begin to lengthen & nights become shorter; whenever fruits and vegetables swell and ripen; whenever leaves change color and fall; whenever snow begins to fly—and all points in between. Read Pierre Teilhard de Chardin.

Believing in an “Unchanging truth” forgets that “truth” changes as cultures evolve. Truth is merely what people of an age feel is “right”…

Maybe they could just have a zoom synod now without the wait.

He has the old on one side and the young on the other. In actuality there are young and old on both sides.
