For me, it’s the hammer that sets my hitch. Can’t tell ya how many miles and how often it has traveled over the years. I am always amazed to find it on the fender…. again.
Oh me oh my, you youngsters. A plugger’s frappuccino is a make it yourself 16 ounce mug of half-caf with an inch of chocolate milk added. About 25 cents (10 ounce can coffee $4) US before Biden).
I once put my plastic commuter mug on the roof, got in and backed up. It fell down the windshield and landed upside down draining away. It was drizzling and I had the wipers on intermittent. I got out and just as I reached for the mug, the wipers whipped off the car. Mug survived but it was empty.
I left my wallet on the top of the car after getting gas. Drove the 5ish miles home. Neighborhood person who picks up trash found it about a mile away almost a month later.
My dad had the uncanny ability to drive around in his pick up truck, with a nearly full cup of coffee sitting on the transmission tunnel; and not spill a drop….

Four states.
And not on the road from Arizona to Colorado.

That’s quite a strong cup of joe to stay unspilled.

Pluggers get takeaway coffee? I thought they tended more to being “sit at the diner” types.
A plugger with a frappuccino may cause me to rethink my understanding of pluggerdom.

I’ve done that before, only with a can of beer.

I knew someone that drove about 3 miles on a twisty turny road with an empty six pack or Pepsi on her roof- – -made it whole and unbroken.

And all the while with their left-turn indicator on.

To sit at the diner, you must have a diner.

Among many other items we set on top of teh car while he dig our keys out of our pockets. Would that constitute Distracted Driving?

With all the potholes around here I doubt it would stay up for a block.
