Based on a true story. There was an ice cream store in my home town, across the street from a duck pond. It came down in the 80s for an office park. In the actual footprint of the store is a large turnaround driveway, and the buildings cut into the woods that were behind.
I like Roy’s tee shirt and Ed’s mustache, but I can’t say the same for Roy’s hair! Two guys who worked in my office in 1979 got their hair permed like that, and it looked ridiculous as far as I was concerned. (Is Roy’s natural or otherwise?)

They paved paradise and put up a parking lot.

Don’t worry, Roy, there’ll be a Coldstone Creamery somewhere close by.
