When I was in school the last thing I could ever do was let another boy know I had a crush on him. Which happened many times over the years. I would have been bullied and abused so much. And I saw boys who got labeled gay get treated terribly by classmates. And I don’t think they were necessarily gay in all cases. It’s hard for me to imagine a school situation at that age that would be a safe enough place to pursue a same-sex attraction.
