When they get a bit older, Kate can teach them how to do their own laundry.

If her laundry would take all day, that kid has too many clothes.

Gimme a break. . .how hard is it to put clothes in the washing machine, then in the drier??? I mean,. it’s not like we have to drag them to the creek, pound out the dirt with rocks, rinse them in the creek, hang them across or bushes. . .OR, if you’re so inclined, bring buckets of water up from the creek, heat them, dump them in the washtub, add lye soap, blister your hands doing the washing, rinse them in another bucket of water, run them through the wringer, and hang them on a line. . .the good ol’ days, when things were (n’t) so much better!!!!

Hell, they’re both old enough to do their own laundry, among other chores Kate does herself…

1st, she should have a basket to put her dirty clothes in. 2nd, she should now better than to talk to her grandmother that way, and 3rd, she should have been made to pick them up AND do her own laundry.

That’s why they’re called dependents, cause they depend on you to do all their work.

I have to say – for exactly the same reasons, my mom taught me how to do my own laundry by about that age.
