Had to look that up. Sure enough, surfing is on the agenda in Tokyo (while baseball is on its way out). Whatever. Beach volleyball is now a scholarship sport at NCAA schools; at least they won’t overspend on uniforms.

I hope someone tells the Japanese that playing Beach Boys music during the surfing competition is mandatory…. and maybe beach volleyball as well!

The way American networks butcher the broadcasts it’s a waste of time watching the Olympics® anyway.

Don’t let the laid back attitude that goes with it fool you. Hardest sport I’ve ever tried to learn- like skiing on water.

Why is Break Dancing an Olympic “sport”? I can understand shooting and archery as they require training and talent, but break dancing? If they do hold the olympics this year, I for one will not be tuning in. I am quite sure I will find something really necessary to do, like watching paint dry

How do they plan to standardize the size and intensity of the waves in order to, ahem, level the playing field? I’m not being facetious, folks. Well, a little, maybe.

Once ballroom dancing became an Olympic sport, adding something like surfing is a breeze.
