Great Grandpa Jim held the line and gave his all to protect those who could not protect themselves. He’s a hero!

What a lovely sentiment! Nobody will call you a loser today.

Thank-you William Joseph “Phil” Phillips U.S. Navy WW II POW Pacific front, George “Skinny” Blackmon U.S. Army WW II fought in the battle of Anzio, and Thomas Alva “Sonny” Phillips U.S. Navy Vietnam veteran, and all other veterans who has served the great country.

And we’ll never forget.

They say funerals are more for the living than for the deceased. That may also be true of visiting their graves. We do so because we get something out of it, a sense of pride in those that came before us, a sense of fulfillment and self reflection, a sense that it makes us a better person. It doesn’t matter whether they know or don’t know, we know. Brutus has it absolutely right.

Mine eyes have seen the coming of the glory of the Lord!

Capt. Paul Richard Eichenlaub II, USAF – October 29, 1961 – February 14, 1991. I miss you my friend!

Thank you Uncle Carlie, Uncle Page, Uncle Loveless, Uncle Jasper, and My dad Carson who fought WW11. All came back – with many purple hearts but living. Thank you all Ladies and Guys Past and Present and Future and Families who supported. Salute!

My Father, 3 Uncles, & 1 Great Uncle served in WWII and 1 aunt who as a civilian worked at the White House and Pentagon. Except for one Uncle all served in the Pacific theater. Thankfully all survived. The Uncle that served in Europe and North Africa lost 2 brothers in Tunisia two weeks apart. The other casualty was their mother who died of a broken heart less than a month later.
