I want to apologize to anyone from Manchester as I made a critical error and equated Scouse’s with folks from Manchester. I should have remembered that anyone west of Manchester (I’m from Warrington) all the way to Liverpool are supposedly scouses.
I’m something of an Anglophile and the language in the UK is richer than U.S. English. A term like “wheelie bin” is just so apt. One of my favorite UK terms is “previous”. Instead of saying someone put the cart before the horse, you just say, “Isn’t that a bit previous?”
