No male is ever prepared to have that conversation with their daughter. I never had any children of my own, but my girl friend’s then 11 year old daughter came to me for “The Talk” and i had to explain a lot of things to her that i wasn’t even completely comfortable discussing my girl friend. My girlfriend worked midnights and believed that her daughter would learn everything at school or from her friends or from experience, much like she had when she was a teenage singe mother. I must have done a decent job explaining things as the daughter was in her 20’s before having her first child.
