♫Hooked on a feelin’♫
Did they have music in the ’70’s? I can’t remember.
I can’t help this feeling I know this one.
C’mon…that music was great, much better than the slop they call music now-a-days.https://www.google.com/search?q=music+from+the+70s
Hooked on a Feeling, by the group Blue Swede. Their only hit stateside.
I watched Fosse/Verdon last week & suffered thru days of Hey Big Spender… until I watched Rocketman yesterday. Now it’s I’m Still Standing.
“I’….m hooked on a feeling.” Blue Suede did a great job on this one, but I prefer BJ Thomas’ version. RIP, BJ. https://youtu.be/y-cdDnq7tcU
This is an excellent example of the unspoken rule, stating that when a song’s cover (or remake) becomes popular, you never hear the original again.
the single worst song ever recorded. of course it became a hit…
A heck of a lot better than anything that came after, that’s for sure
Hooked, for sure!
The music of the 50’s and 60’s got them all “beat”!
oooga chakka oooga chakka oooga chakka chakka chakka woo wooooooo!!!!!!!! just going down the tracks of life
Yes… although derided for Disco, the 70s had a vast variety of music. (I’ve always wondered how Blue Swede happened on the Oogah Chakka chant as a background)
OK, it’s an 1983 cover of a dreadful 1970’s earworm. And played by a huge stage just filled with no talent hacks trying to slog their way through it.
You were warned…

Geez, when are those people gonna take some music lessons? They’ll never amount to anything! And you’ll be thinking about that crap all day…
“Hey, Starman? Can we play a different mix tape for once?”
“I AM GROOT?”
With apologies … “It’s A Small World” …!
Well thanks alot. Now I’m hooked on a feelin’
You want 70s earworms, see Cruella. The soundtrack is awesome.
I love that song!
My brain started playing the song as soon as I read the oogah chakkahs!
Does anyone from the Seattle area remember J. P. Patches?? :>)
