I made an appointment at the DMV to change my driver’s license and register my car in Nevada. First appt available…August 27th! I’m going to carry a copy of my confirmation in the car in case I get stopped for expired tags.
National Leave The Office Early Day. Well, I don’t work in an office, but the idea of leaving work early has tremendous appeal! I just might do that! I have plenty of paid time off (PTO) hours to be able to do that.
National Bubba Day. National Bubba Day on June 2nd each year recognizes all those we lovingly call Bubba in our lives. The name may come from the way young children try to shorten the word brother. Often used as an affectionate nickname for a brother, many close family friends use the name Bubba as a term of endearment. Through the years, you may have met many Bubbas or maybe you only know one. Those who use the term Bubba often use it with people they hold close to their heart or even in high regard.
It was such a nice day yesterday that I got to eat lunch outside at work and I saw the most adorable little baby bunny eating clover just a few yards away. We have groundhogs out there, too, but I like watching the bunnies the most.
Got my 1st hug in a year, from visiting daughter. The jackhammering outside must have jolted her awake this morning. Not my problem as my house got hooked up to new gas line yesterday. Maxi and I received invitation to visit CT this weekend! Excited. Hope weather is warmer with some sun.
Sounds like Chesney has Annie confused with Godzilla. (Either that, or he’s just being plain mean, which is more likely.) On another note, saw two swallows, two tiger swallowtail butterflies, a robin, an eagle, a waxwing, a rabbit, and two ravens while out walking today.
