P1: Boy, he’s pretty smug for a punk. I doubt the “revenue generator” could light up an LED. I always hear the teenagers saying, “Let’s go to the library for some coffee!!” And then pay a person to staff it!

That’s a nasty cut on her foot. No wonder she’s keeping off of it.

And so Punky and the Bandito (new show on NBC this fall…watch for it) walk off hand in hand to come up with a plan to save the library. Cue sitcom happy ending music, ala the Brady bunch.

P3: Isn’t that the same puddle as from a few days ago? They need to patch that leak.

Coffee, tea and juice will inevitably be taken by patrons into the reading areas — will be a “revenue generator” for mop man Guess Who?

Beside this story arc being beyond sappy, where did the BurritoMan get that pea green suit?? So these two have taken over the meeting and the Board is just watching their performance.

P1.5 we could relocate the porn shop on Gutter St. into that space for rent plus a percentage of sales – a safer environment, greater exposure and access, increased revenues – that’s a win, win, win!

Cocky or confident? Zane is so sure he has this wrapped up he turns his back to the podium and folds his arms. Reminds this veteran debate watcher of Ross Perot’s running mate admiral Stockdale

Okay, he works, studies, plays baseball, has a girlfriend. Just when will this kid do any work at the library?

P1- Herk the Mauler is looking frail. Someone get him a loaded meatball Subwich.

P2- Lori Petty called from Point Break. She wants her punker hairdo back.

P3- Grecian (Formula) GilPa has left a miniature Valdez mishap. With GT and George McFly, the 1973 oil crisis could have been averted.

Zane scores a point, but turns his back on the Board. These two are just talking to each other now, ignoring the people making the decision. I’m curious about the mounds of paper each candidate has. Did they each give a 20 minute speech at the start?

I’m still going with my prediction of Burrito softening up and deciding Zane isn’t so bad, Zane getting the spot, but then withdrawing and telling them to give it to Burrito. Tears and hugs all around, while Gil throws in some crappy words of wisdom to justify his existence. Then root beer floats for all!

And speaking of for all, today’s Mopped Up Thorp is for all to enjoy: https://moppedupthorp.wordpress.com/

So she’s mad at him, and refuses to see or talk to him, because Zane “made her choose between him and her dad” (insert eyeroll). But now that he made good points in the debate, she’s all hot for him again and wants to meet him in their spot in the non-fiction section for some heavy petting.

P1, So, now that they suddenly agree on everything will they both get on the board? (Bored)

P2, Aw, too bad. If you hurry over, I’ve got a little something- something for you.

P3, This is definitely not how Mopman showed him how to shine floors.

I just got back from my local library branch ( great system, many branches) and there was NO ONE using the computers. I was not wearing my hideous green suit, so I didn’t think I was in a position to say anything. They did have “The Kid From Tompkinsville,” and a few more books by John R. Tunis though.

So its all over. And we are not going to find out who won until Sat? From the way Katy is talking all is forgiven, she liked his ideas better. From the way todays strip is going it sounds like her old man won. Or did the library board decide to table the appointment until they figure out how everyone in Milford feels about it

Zane managed to dye his hair red during the debate.

Abel looks more like John Astin than Tom Selleck when you look at him from behind. All that’s missing in today’s P1 is the black suit and Tish speaking French.
