If you are married, then you know everything has a cost. Some of them are easier to negotiate a “settlement”. My recently deceased wife and I had 34 years to figure that out and it worked for us.
I swear I was born with an internal furnace, because I cannot stand the heat. 50 to 60 degrees is my sweet spot. So, during the summer, I bite the bullet and keep the AC turned to a tolerable level. On the other hand, we save money in the winter because our heater is rarely ever on.
don’t own an ac unit, never have. it was murder in humid tokyo, where summer lasts for what seems like 8 months, but here in the north we’re lucky to have heat waves that last an hour or so…
My wife is always hot and I’m always cold. I just run around in the house in a heavy bath bathrobe. If you are cold, you can always put more on. If you are hot, there’s is only so much you can take off before people start pointing and laughing.

We moved into a house that has solar panels. Wow, what a difference. We just got an electric bill for a little over $1.

Been in the upper 90s for a week here in Northern Colorado, and it went over 100 yesterday
My wife bought a new unit just before the heat wave hit, no argument from me
