It’s interesting the things she does know compared with the things she doesn’t know.

I liked the ones that said they were from Microsoft and had noticed my computer had a virus. I’d play with them a bit and then explain I use a Mac.

I keep getting spam calls. I know they are spam because they are all from places where I do not know anyone. Wish there was a way to block an entire area code. Blocking numbers doesn’t work as the spammers just “borrow” aka spoofing another number. What is really strange is that about 30 min after I make a call, one of these %$&## calls me. Just like clockwork. Starting about 7am and still calling me at 7:30pm.

The tears of played-out scammers are a sweet and satisfying quaff, any day of the year.

I will also hang up on anyone who calls my phone and asks to speak to Darlin’, as in my case Darlin’ is my 4 year old Black Mouth Cur, and she can’t talk.

Haven’t heard the slow computer scam yet. Sure that I will though. I really do enjoy hanging up on them though….

I solved the spam call problem by never answering the phone. Very few bother to leave a message and when they do I delete it as soon as the message starts.

I finally got rid of my landline because scams and solicitation were the only calls I got. It’s much easier to block on a cell phone.

I did once get a call from a sales woman with a really Beautiful speaking voice.

I wasn’t tempted to Buy anything, but I did listen to her about 4 times longer than usual.

If they tell me my computer has a virus, I tell them it’s not possible, because I had my computer vaccinated. Then I hang up and block them.

One should not stay on the line with them and play games. A close friend of ours had a problem – his mom had done this and the caller was recording the call. They clipped out pieces of what she said which led to a recording of her agreeing to take their service!! Took friend a long time to get this corrected and to stop them from going after his mom for payment – since they had recorded record of her agreeing to the service and to paying for same. Don’t play games – hang up.

All they need is “Is this Mrs. Smith?” “Yes.” And that yes can be cut into anything they want.
