Began keeping an address book at my pc. Every password I construct goes into that book. Been a help more times than I can remember. But I am retired and only access internet from home. I also do not conduct any banking or other personal financial business that way. So any worries that someone might steal info that has already been snooped out there on the ether is not one I carry in my blues bag
The safest place for your passwords is a piece of paper in your desk at home. Impossible to hack remotely and if someone is looking at it, you already have a bigger problem.

I use the same password for most of my logins. Easy to remember but, boy, what a house of cards.

I use place names and call signs from Vietnam. For a few, I use weapons I handled there.
