Had brief time on FB then left it over 15 years ago. Didn’t think much of it then, and have heard of no reason to resume use since. Same for most chat media. Just no substitute for face to face connections.
Guess I am a Facebook addict, I avoid the obviously political stuff, but fall for all the never ending clikbait and love the cartoons and cute animal videos.
I use Firefox which has Facebook Container which along with a couple of other of my blocking systems, keeps Facebook’s trackers at bay. I rarely use the site anyway and am primarily a reader not a poster. My Facebook page only has the information that I deem public – and even then, there’s not much of that!
People are often way too free with revealing personal information about themselves to strangers. I can’t count the number of times I’ve struck up a conversation in a queue and by the time I’ve finished my business, the other person has told me their whole life story!

I canceled my account over 10 years ago. Haven’t regretted it. One of the best things I’ve ever done.

Facebook gets along quite nicely without me, and I with it.

Facebook turns people into the infected from “Invasion of the Body Snatches.” Except it was self-inflicted.

Sounds like a marketing stooge.

Tired of them deciding who and what is allowed (except things that are sexually exploitive)
