the first cell phone I had was a hand-me-down Motorola
Just change protective cases. Mine is purple now.
I had one of those: Nokia 5180. Still have it and it still works….
I remember wanting a cellphone so bad and being happy to get one that was part of a collaboration package. But then the smartphone came out and I never looked back.
Look at that ancient cell-phone. I wonder when this Classic was written?
@ Lucy Rudy: This strip is from the 90’s and the phone he is referring to is the Nokia
get the indestructible one, Peter….you’re gonna need it!
The Nokia 5120 series came out in 1998, so it’s not impossible for Amend to be talking about the Xpress-On covers.
I personally, had a dozen covers, and 3 different coloured number pads.
If you’ve had a slow summer, Jason, then you don’t you buy the phone?
Get a flip phone. Then you can pretend you’re Captain Kirk.
I like the way Jason thinks.
