@Number Three Today’s strip IS funny , our HERO Mr Andrew Capp is feeling his age , drinking shots is a competition of drinking a dram of whiskey in one gulp and the last man standing wins but Andy was using a pint glass , no wonder he’s sozzled , when I was in y thirties I had just changed cars from a Ford Cortina Mark II to a Ford Capri , then I went to a friend’s house and drank half a bottle of Scotch then when I went to the car park to go home I was so sozzled that I was lookin for the Cortina and I was standing near the Capri :o) my avatar is of a kitten hanging on a tree branch with the caption “hang in there” which is what I will have to do , how was your day ? our Thursday should be busy as usual but we will cope I hope , we have already done our bulk shopping , no more errands to run and we are both in a reasonably good mood , as to Silvana’s dad , que sera sera keep safe and Thanks for caring young Lady
Something similar happened when I took two friends to a Japanese restaurant. Those two had never had Japanese cuisine, and definitely not sake. They were scandalized when they saw the small cups and the small sake carafe! So, they insisted on drinking the sake from a few carafes. Oh, yes; they were not all that ambulatory.
Those must have been Bulgarian youngsters. Stop me if you’ve heard this before: On a job in Bulgaria, our clients threw a dinner party for us, and each place had a tall glass of water filled to the brim. A wise man might have been suspicious, but it took a big swallow to tell me this was vodka!
Now, believe it or not, if Andy had been drinking shots of beer, he would definitely be swizzled. Try knocking back 8-10 shots of beer in a relatively brief period of time and see if you don’t get hammered – even though you’ve imbibed the equivalent of less than a pint of beer.
Whew! I am late today. Got occupied with a game I used to enjoy playing and lost track of time.
Regarding your story of the car mix up, I would say “We’ve all been there” but not everybody has a car and not everyone drinks. I fit both of those categories.
My day was good. I stayed in because I’ve been out for 3 days in a row and I decided to ho back to sleep. Tomorrow I will be going to bingo.

Give him a minute…or offer him a pint of beer. He’ll snap right out of it.

Nonsense! Jack would never give Andy pint-sized shots! Another less-than-stellar effort….

Andy’s not as young as he used to be.
The only “shot” he would be familiar with is the injection type or injured Army soldiers.
