Weapon of “crass” destruction.

Tarzan is about to have an arrow escape………

Tarzan is wondering “oh geez not another one”

Time for some lead to fly!

In panel 3, Serrif seems to fall into the pit that many of you spoke about already…

Hmm running to get to knife throwing distance against a man armed with a bow and arrows. We are about to wittness evolution in action

“And it’s close by.” Yeah, like right at the edge of the clearing, you big dumb ape, er, -man!

And then…THUD! He falls into the pit that Tarzan had ready.

Serif’s a braver man than I gave him credit for, but Tarzan catches knives and eats them for breakfast.

I’m still trying to visualize the moon springing into the sky. That would be pretty startling in itself.

That was a good trick they did with the drums – muttering them so it would sound like they were coming from a distance rather than right at the edge of the clearing. But then, when you’re about to launch a surprise attack, why would you start banging on drums at all?

Bye-bye, Serrif!

Is that a jungle devil beating on the drum and how could Tarzan allow Serrif to get the drop on him? Break out the automatic weapons and open fire on the “Black Horde”…..NOW!

See? HE knows how to spell the past tense of lead!!

All through this story arc Tarzan has seemed rather nonchalant and passive, like he is on drugs.

—Otherwise known as “Serrif’s Suicide Mission”….

This is going to end well /s
