Hobbes is smart enough to wish for something he can get.

…..and snores so loud.

And yet when people argue with Calvin, it’s an ongoing battle.

Joy/Peace to the world

For all the boys and girls

Joy to the tigers and the deep blue sea

Peace for you and me!

Is Calvin getting smarter?

Hobbes is having a field day.

The lesson there Calvin is to enjoy and appreciate the simpler things in life.

It’s the simple things……

Lol, I recall seeing Polish version of it in my school book.

Peace sells, but who’se buying.

It figures, Hobbes is one of the leading exponents in his field! :D

and a belly rub.

If you measure success in terms of power and money, chances are good that you are living a very miserable existence.

You can take the tiger out of the jungle, but you can’t take the jungle out of the tiger.

" Live simply, so that others, can, Simply Live ."

How about some tuna fish to go with that sunny field, Hobbes?

I’m with you, Hobbes.

I have discovered that living the simple life is surprisingly expensive unless you don’t have much money.

One of my all-time favorite bits of cartoon dialog was from “Get Fuzzy”:

Bucky Katt: “If you could have any superpower you wanted, which one would it be?”

Satchel Pooch: “Um, I dunno. The United States?”

Hobbes is cat a tonic.

Can’t take it with you.

Never argue with success!

One thing I have noticed about really rich people. They don’t look happy!

Riches and power don’t provide happiness, only stress. Easy to say when you’re living on Social Security and have no “power”. But, I can sit on my porch content, and watch the world. I’d say I’m happier than a lot of people…

I guess inner peace went out with the ’60s.

“Money can’t buy happiness, but it helps you live in misery with nicer stuff.”

OK, a big, sunny field with lots of stupid prey.

His needs are simple.

Hobbes has his priorities straight.

There is a very old saying that Jeff Bezos, may learn the truth of, “When the Gods wish to destroy a person, they first grant their every desire.”

I love it when cats sleep like that…

Sometimes, thinking small can be thinking happy.

Next time, Hobbes should wish about a lot of red meat to eat!

I’d like one of those, too; please.

The feline demonstrates how to be happy with all you have. I just love that relaxed posture.

Power is important when you want the a/c to come on in the heat. Power also is important for running your air purifiers during wildfire smoke. So YEAH! I am thankful for power, and totally appreciate it!

A big sunny field is pretty hard to find around here. Thirty five years ago this place was rural. Now there is hardly a vacant lot, and there is total traffic gridlock.
