I don’t know anyone in Canada but I wish them a Happy Day! I think they’re a nice bunch of people.

Yaffle is celebrating too…he’s wearing his MapleLeaf hat, and patiently waiting for the vittles….OH HAPPY DAY!

Are they even allowed to gather that many together with the covid lockdown?

Yep. They are all coming up here to have Canada Day at the ex-pat’s place. The “Cheeseburger Machine” is fired up and the smoker has been going non-stop (those salmon filets aren’t going to cook themselves, ya know). And even though we live on Vancouver Island, I’ll be wearing my Roughriders jersey. Football starts in August this year. Gotta go tend the smoker. Happy Canada Day to the Yaffle crew and everyone else, eh.

We are allowed small outdoor gatherings in Ontario Canada. Still can’t sit down indoors, but a small backyard BBQ is legal. Looking forward to next Canada Day which we can hopefully celebrate with large gatherings, and not wearing a mask.

My friend is from Niagara Falls. They had good friends in across the border in Canada. For years they would celebrate their country’s celebration with each other. Personally, tho, I think it was for the beer and burgers.
