Are we moving from eating pie at the Milford Library Board to drinking water and coffee at the Milford Star? How can we cope with such constant non-stop action?

Gil, you had just one line to kick off the summer story arc, and you blew it. It’s supposed to be “Sunshine, you, me, lemonade, and Pedro.”

Ah, Summer’s Here. P1 is the cradle of all summer stories, Gil’s front porch. Right up there with “Once upon a time”, “In the beginning there was darkness”, and “Call me Ishmael”.

Next story line is the dangers of drinking. Which will it be:

A: Lemonade with the Thorps?

B: Bad coffee at the newspaper office?

C: Many rounds of beer with the lushes at the 19th hole?

Three story lines in one day!

P1, Just as the storm clouds roll in.

P2, Can I get you some water, Heather? A cup of coffee? Me? Heather Burns returns as a summer intern at the Milford Star and Mr. Dadbod makes his move as we have our first sexual harassment story in Milford to celebrate Bill Cosby’s release from prison. I thought Double D was the journalism student.

P3, These dudes must be challengers for Gil’s club championship, and I’m sure one of them must be Kaylie’s father.

Heather, I’ve got a couple hot tips that about a young girl abandoned on a golf course, and that Marty Moon may have a drinking problem. But we gotta move fast!

Okay, those of you saying that’s Gil? No. Based on the riveting exposition boxes, these three exciting events are all happening simultaneously. Hendricks will be the person that pisses us off the most this summer. And I’m thinking he’s not a student. But I could (and often have been) wrong.

P1 – What happened to Mimi’s legs? They look pretty cut up and bruised.

P2 – I’m thinking, no that’s not Heather Burns. She’s been gone too long. But on the other hand, Hadley V. Baxendale was gone a decade or more and she came back.

P3 – I’m thinking these are all adults. So, potential new coach? Parent of the new star athlete that just moved into town? Someone with an axe to grind against the Thorps?
