Don’t think I want to patronize a Butcher’s shop that leaves its front door wide open so that cats and dogs can come in and steal whatever they want. I’m also sure that the place is buzzing with flies, gnats and other creepy crawlies too.
I wonder how many thousands of sausages Fred and his friends have filched over the years? Also, I would think that by now the butchers would have learned to at least keep their front doors closed, and the Dears would not leave plates of sausages within Fred’s reach! It’s not Fred’s (or his friends’) fault: they’re just being dogs and doing dog things. Others have provided the temptation.

What I love about this cartoon is how Fred and all his buddies can live in an area, play and wander and not have to worry about being hit by cars!

The butcher always leaves the door open and turns his back to it. At least he could shut the door and keep the flies out along with Yorky.
