    My dad used to say “Cry louder, I can’t hear you!” which was a great distraction.

    my dad had a great distraction for us kids when we misbehaved – I used the same one for my children. funny how my dad’s distraction taught us self control. something I find completely lacking in many under 30 today. also extremely funny that the ‘warning’ that has been attached to this type of distraction by the ‘modern’ day idiots – whoops sorry – psycho doctors never happened to us OR to the thousands I know that grew up with the same style distraction js
