Retired guy hooked up a 12V battery to a metal feeder and ran the wires back though his window. Squirrels got in there…throw the switch…watch them leap up a couple of feet.
Got them trained to avoid the feeder but had to do it every few days when a new visitor to his area gave it a try. Depending upon the mentality it is either fun or an extra home chore.
