At this point Jim seems to have realized that Joel and Rufus’s story wasn’t getting any traction. Still, the fact that he just abandoned them mid-arc like that is kinda weird. I hope he realizes that the next time they appear readers might not care about their storyarc at all, out of fear that it’d just get abandoned like this one was.
