I like the scenes where you have to dodge the animals and the crowds. And the ones on the scenic routes with the huge potholes and collapsing bridges. They really get the heart going.
The people I see so often whining about how they were ‘stuck behind cyclists riding two abreast’ have obviously never been stuck behind a towed caravan or farm tractor, with a couple of hundred metres of cars behind them.
No, they didn’t get outed as ‘selfish’, and they sure didn’t pull over either.
I use a recumbent bike, too, but I use a mogo viewer and my smartphone to watch GoPro bike tours of world cities. I sometimes watch sporting events, too, while biking.
Reminds me of my very first day of driver’s ed, over 40 years ago. My first time behind the wheel, in a pouring rain, I made a turn (the instructor told me to) and found myself on a street blocked by a garbage truck. Good lesson in patience and caution.
I once got stuck behind a city bus while riding a real bike. It was too long to pass while it was stopped, too fast to pass while it was moving, and averaged too slow to balance. At long last I saw a line of people waiting to board, sprinted past him — and didn’t quite make it to the next stop before he overtook me and stopped in my path.
The next long line was fairly close to the next stop, I got past it, and was free again.

And that truck, driven by the Department Sanitaire, will dump the trash in front of a matchmaker’s house. “Filthy. Disgusting.”

There is an advantage to not having the premium service at that point. The premium service comes complete with olfactory simulation. (smell)

How does a bike get stuck behind a garbage truck? If it’s slow enough for you to catch, just ride around it.

Not to mention the garbage truck has advertisements posted all over it.

If he’s downwind from Cliff, he gets the olfactory experience as well.

I got the “riding behind a car with two large dogs hanging out the windows” and soon I couldn’t see the screen anymore!

And they’re speaking a lot of French.

I remember in Japan, the worst that could happen is getting stuck behind what we GIs called a honey bucket, the trucks that drain septic tanks.

Cliff will sit and watch the Scenery going by, but you’re Crazy if you expect him to Pedal that thing.
