Ha! When the costume is on the other cat, it’s no longer fun and games. Who knew Goldie was such a whiny cry kitty? I’m surprised Pucky is resisting. He seemed to have so much fun trying on the costumes he found in the trunk. If he could see himself, I think he might be pleased. Lupin is a pleasant portrait in purple. It goes well with his pink TOE BEANS!
Thank you to all who sent good wishes to my cat Sophie a couple of days ago. She was probably bitten by my other cat during one of their daily skirmishes last week, and the wound became infected and abscessed. She’s on the mend, though the wound is alarmingly horrible to look at. Once her blood work comes back and any more systemic infection is ruled out, the next stage is surgery to debride and close the wound, which should happen within the next few days. This is literally my first experience of having a cat at home who has to wear a recovery cone, and she is one grumpy little lamp.♥
Well, well! Better a moth lesion then a math lesson! (That’s what my clothes say and the guy that sticks in them) Apropos: if Puck is a moth now, does he have moth beans instead of toe beans?
This is Bill’s daughter. It is with a broken heart that I must let y’all know that my daddy suddenly passed away on Monday morning. He’d had a great week and was feeling much better. While his cancer was out of remission again, his most recent set of scans looked good, and he should have had months left, if not longer. It was very sudden, and we are all still in shock.
This community meant so very much to him!! All of you did!! He would frequently talk about sharing pictures here, and about how kind everyone is, and how much he enjoyed chatting with y’all. He also greatly enjoyed working on the spreadsheets for everyone to use. Please know how special all of you were to him.
Georgia, this comic meant the world to my daddy. We frequently talked about the different strips and related them to our own cats. Your Peep Toad strip had extra special meaning to him, and brought him fond memories of his childhood. He had a framed print, plus a mug and a shirt of it. Thank you for doing what you do and bringing joy to people through your art, your wit, and through sharing your wonderful cats with all of us.
I am so sorry, BillsDottir! The world lost a good CatDaddy when your daddy crossed the rainbow bridge. My pop was also a CatMan (as he’d say) and he crossed about this time of hear 20 years back and I still miss him. He used to decide whether a fellow was decent or not by whether he likes cats or not. And if Daddy’s cats liked the person? Well, our doors were always open for them <3
I just received my latest Purrfect Pals newsletter. There is always a section with the In Honor and In Memory dedications from donations. There is one from someone who donated in Honor of Georgia.
Damn!!! Forgive any typo’s as my screen is still blurry. Thank you, Daughter of Bill, for taking the time to let us know. I am SO very sad and sorry. What a loss to all of us. I send healing waves of peace to you and your family. Bill meant a lot to me as well. Such a clever man with a loving heart and a quick wit. When I was not checking in regularly for several months I came back and panicked when I didn’t see Bill, and felt such relief when I checked his profile and saw he HAD posted recently. So, damn…
As others have done I raise a glass to Bill, throw the drink down, grimace and throw the glass into the fireplace and imagine I hear glass after glass making the same journey to crash and sparkle in the warmth of the Orb. Thank goodness for Calahan’s Law, because if this is what it feels like when grief is shared, thank goodness we have each other!

For whatever reason, there are cats who don’t hate being clothed. I probably had one, but never tried. He, for some odd reason, enjoyed balancing things on his head. If you placed something on his head, he would pose to where it would not fall off. A minute or two could easily pass by. After it fell off, he would always give out a thunderous meow! Like: “Darn it!”

“Am I a moth?” reminds me of the time the Woman dressed Pucky up as a ladybug for Halloween, and he mournfully asked, “Don’t they know I’m a boy?”
