Practice makes better!

So now it’s his stinky fingers???

Take up the song flute.

Practice is not one of his habits.

that’s why I don’t play an instrument. didn’t love it enough to get over that new player frustrations

I played at a guitar when I was younger. It took 2-3 weeks for my fingers to callous enough to get clean sounds. after that, the notes were good, but I wasn’t.

practice means that you aren’t quite as bad as yesterday. Keep that up, and who knows where you’ll be…

The famous cellist, Pablo Casals, still practiced daily well into his 80’s. When someone asked him why, he said, “Because I think I’m seeing some progress.”

When you really love something you are willing to practice. It’s a joy!

Fleshy fingers are good for bassoon playing.

Yeah – I learned some piano, some violin, some flute and a lot of horn and every teacher I had said the same thing. When you get to the point where you like the sounds you are making, practice gets easier. However, you will never get there if you don’t get through the period of practice when you don’t like the sounds you are making.

I used Bub’s logic for both guitar and trumpet!
