I listen to the local 70s, 80s, 90s radio station on the way to and from work and their playlist is about 30 songs in rotation so I hear the same songs every day and one of them unfortunately is Maggie May.
Back in the ‘80s I had a large iguana who would throw major tantrums when the TV sitting on his large residence cabinet (regularly turned to MTV) would play Glenn Frye videos. We finally figured out that it wasn’t just Glenn he hated, but saxophone music; Glenn’s stuff then just used a lot of it and was played regularly. He didn’t mind other stuff, but God help us when “The Heat is On” played!!!
Why were you listening to it in the first place? I have all the songs I love from ALL eras on my PC, IPad and in my car. This song and many others are NOT on it, lol. Only the ones I like. I gave up radio and someone else’s opinion of what I supposedly want to hear lonnnnnnmg ago.

I’m sure that “Rod Rage” only appears in the depths of PASSION. But Some Guys Have All The Luck and never come down with it.;-D

When he went “disco,” it sent a lot of us on a rod rage.

I feel that way about “Maggie.” Someone played it everyday on the juke box in the cafeteria when I was in high school!

I feel the same when I hear Rod’s versions of the Great American Songbook. Atrocious

If it was being played on the muzac system I don’t blame him.
