Meanwhile, she just sewed her sweater to the quilt.

    No, she’s just a little sew-and-sew.

Sew far sew good for the man. It seems he got by with that little bit of humor – that’s probably enough. Be there. Listen. Empathize. Ask if there is something you can do. If she asks you something or asks for something, that’s fine to answer and respond. But … Don’t try to solve her problem for her. Do not give unsolicited advice. … I think?

Amazing how critical people can be about a comic drawing. A slender woman wouldn’t be easy to draw under a quilt and a slim man eating cookies just wouldn’t seem right. On the other hand, a quilt for a baby shower wouldn’t be that large — it would be for the baby and so would have to fit in a crib (~30″×40″) or a car seat (~18″×20″). I have found that moms often prefer the ‘car seat’ size because they need more of them than crib blankets.

I know a few quilters that don’t suffer from this at all – it’ll get done when it gets done.

There are actually people who spell “guilty” that way. I’ve also seen people mention the quitar, and a friend’s last name spelled McQuire.

They are few and far between, but the ones I’ve encountered just make me want to guit trying.

That must have been a blanket statement.
