Tonight I’m expanding my theme to include not only the Irish, but all of the UK. It was actually a canny Scot (aren’t they all?) who told me the differences between the major factions in those islands:

The Scots keep the Sabbath…and anything else they can get their hands on.

The Welsh pray on their knees, and prey on their neighbors.

The Irish don’t know what they want, but they’re willing to die for it.

And the English are self-made men, thereby absolving The Almighty of all responsibility.

Thursday the 12th I’m having rotator cuff surgery (I work with high school sports, and sometimes I forget it’s been 50 years since I was in high school) so I’ll likely miss a few postings. I’ll be monitoring these pages, however. So everybody stay funny! I’ll come back to hold up my end as soon as my shoulder heals up.

I doubt those cats were trapped. They were just feral cats and lived in the walls.

Anything named “Tax Reduction” is now extinct in CA, IL, and NY.

How did the Russian sailors know that Aika was on the ice for more than a week? Do russians speak canine or did Aika speak Russian?

Half an hour per cat. And animal control isn’t in his job description.
