One year ago the Russian space agency declared Venus a Russian planet. They didn’t even put a sign on it.

I never got that one. Why “Hobs crk?” Could they mean Roy Hobbs or Walter Hobbs or someone like that?
The lack of education Calvin deals with is astounding. Not only is Hobbes a poor speller, his parents are so stupid they can’t even say their own names!
Plot twist: Hobbes knows how to spell, he just shortened it so it would fit on the sign

I heard some guy named Dawson beat them both to it.
Just replace “creek” with “and” and stick it on top!

There is a Hobbs Brook in Sturbridge, Massachusetts. Now I know how it was named.
I thought Hobbes was smarter than how his sign is spelled.
