Very good Father, Son fun time together. I wish my dad did something like that. But he was a control freak. Everything had to be his way or else. And when things didn’t work out like he wanted. He got very, very upset, and the rest of the family had to know it too.
My father was the King of Quality Time. While I can’t speak for my 5 older siblings, I know what my dad did for me. When my little brother was born, I was almost 8, and was feeling a little “displaced” as Baby of the family. My dad worked 5-1/2 days a week, working Saturdays ‘til noon. After the baby arrived, my dad would come home from work on Saturdays, have lunch, rest for a bit, then that night take me – JUST me – out for pizza & bowling. It made me feel so special. I couldn’t bowl worth beans – still can’t – but it was so much fun. Thankfully, a few years ago, I thought to actually thank my Dad for those Saturday nights.
NO! You can’t race the green pickup or pink van with the surfboards … in pristine condition, those are actually worth a couple THOUSAND dollars! They are ultra-rare collectible items.
